Cookie Policy

The cookies and similar technologies this site uses, and how to control them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between page loads — a preference, a session, the contents of a list. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job in a different place.

How we use them

We use a deliberately small number of them, and none of them track you across other websites.

  • Essential — keep the site working and secure, including the administrator sign-in session. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
  • Preference — remember choices you have made, such as the products saved in your inquiry list, which is stored in your browser rather than on our servers.
  • Analytics — tell us, in aggregate, which pages are used and where visitors run into trouble. Used to improve the site, not to build a profile of you.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by the services we rely on to run the site — hosting, security, and analytics providers. We do not permit them to use that data to advertise to you elsewhere.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies, and clear local storage. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site from working — the inquiry list, for example, will not persist between visits.

Browsers also offer a Do Not Track signal. There is still no consistent industry standard for responding to it, so we do not currently change our behavior in response.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and revise the date shown at the top of it.
